D+C after missed miscarriage

Hello, lovelies. This is my first post, and I am sorry it is on this sad topic. I was crushed to find out today at my 8 week appointment that I've had a missed miscarriage. The ultrasound showed no heartbeat. Baby stopped growing at 6 weeks.

I have opted for a D+C. After suffering an early miscarriage in May, I am hoping this procedure will be less traumatic and will give me a sense of closure. I was wondering if anyone could share their experiences with a D+C, including recovery and TTC after the fact.
