Has this happened to you? New B.C. Prescription

Hey ladies! So I've been on Yaz (and the generic brand) for at least 5 years for PMDD. However the prescription stopped doing what it was supposed to and so I asked my doctor if I could try the sruff my mom takes for PMDD (Microgestin-Loestrin is the name brand
) and my doctor agreed and now I'm half way through week 2 of the new prescription (and am taking them in the AM instead of PM).  SO here's where my question comes to to play. Week 1 I was solid. And since Tuesday I've been having old blood discharge and then today it's like day 1 flow on my period over here with no cramps or anything. Have any of you ladies had this experience when switching?

This is actually normal.
It's normal to have spotting or even brown discharge when changing birth controls.

My only experience with bleeding on BC outside of the sugar pill weeks was when I did start a new kind. The brand was switched three times 😒😐 the third time, whatever it was, caused me to bleed for 2 months. My doctor wasn't concerned when I hit one month because some days would be light but other days I would have a regular flow. I hit the second month of bleeding where I literally didn't get a day break and I had enough of it. I stopped taking my birth control myself and soon after went to see my doctor again(but didn't mention I already stopped taking it). She told me to pause on them for a week or two and then start up again. I never took them again. My cycles after that were so irregular that they varied from 28-49 days and were mostly in the 30's-40's for the amount of cycle days. Not saying that is what will happen to you, but that's my experience.

I've switched tons of brands and never had that. 
Maybe the dosage is lower than you're used to so your body has to readjust?
