Contemplating doctors

Hey all -- need some advice about choosing an OB. I'm almost 16 weeks and had to switch from my regular Obgyn (he doesn't do deliveries) to a new practice he recommended. I just had my first appt and am weighing the pros and cons of the experience. Pros: professional, thorough, felt like the baby would be safe. But I'm having some doubts because of the cons: it felt impersonal, the wait time was bad, and it's a group which means I don't know who will be on call when I go into labor. I want to ask some more experienced moms: how much does this stuff really matter? Will I regret not having a warmer relationship with my doc?
