When to start buying/ wearing maternity clothes

I'm 9 w, 5 d. I'm not really showing yet, but I don't want to be at the point where I need maternity and not have a single thing. When do you start buying maternity? And when do you start wearing it?

I'm 37 weeks & I've only bought maternity leggings & a couple shirts. Yoga pants were also a go to item in my closet. Just do it when you feel it's necessary because you don't know how big you're going to get, you may just need a few shirts.You don't have to wear maternity clothes.

I bought them when my clothes no longer fit. I like to look nice and felt like stretching out my clothes made me look terrible.

I'm 24 weeks and still wearing my normal jeans just using the hair tie method. Hoping to do this til spring when I can just switch to my maternity capris and shorts from my previous pregnancy. Any time you can buy shirts just make sure to buy with room to grow cause sometimes the maternity shirts don't give you enough length to cover your belly once your in your third trimester.

For me I bought 4 shirts & 2 pairs of jeans at 12 weeks. This is my 3rd baby so I popped much earlier. With my first I got away until 16 weeks with a hair tie to extend my pants & with my second it was nearly 22 weeks.

Bellaband! I wore my normal pants unzipped with Bellabands until 20ish weeks.

I bought my first maternity jeans around the end of my first trimester, but found them uncomfortable until about 18 weeks because the elastic would slide down. My belly was not big enough. The one thing that was great early on for me was a Bellaband. Now at 26 weeks many of my regular shirts have become too short, but until recently they were still OK.

I dod early eaely on like 5w. I started wearing lose fitting pants and jogging pants because my morning sickness os sooo bad that any pressure on my stomach would cause me to vomit and have cramps
