Here is my story. So we already have an 8yo girl. We found out the second one was a boy. Was I excited! Always wanted my boy! Went out bought a shit ton of baby boy stuff! Picked a name. And we decided it would be our last thinking we got one of each now, you know. Come my 20w ultrasound the tech says Its a Girl. You should have seen my face!!!! I could feel the disappointment on it. And my husband... he was the one who handled it well. God sent us another daughter and we will love and cherish her. As for me, the first day after finding out i kept locking myself in the bathroom and crying. It was bad. The next say it didn't get better. It felt like i stopped loving her. I kept asking for forgiveness. I prayed for a healthy baby, i got her. And then it was confirmed. Our baby is a girl. Now we are beyond happy and excited. She is a blessing. We wanted a second baby for so long. It is completely normal to feel sad/disappointed over gender. It shall pass. Good luck to you 🌹🌹🌹

i was convinced it was a boy and had at one point cried over the realization that i could be carrying a girl (early days lol, i was emotional and terrified) because i wanted a boy so badly and thought a girl would be too hard to handle. basically i couldn't picture myself raising a girl at all. but at the 20 week scan i was told it looks like a girl and immediately started crying, but they weren't sad tears at all. i saw her on the screen and fell in love. i can't imagine having a boy now. she's already my whole world. 💞

I wanted a boy so bad. We got a girl and I was so upset, but I was getting over it. She passed away after birth and now I'm just dying to have another baby.

We were expecting a girl because that's what we were told we were having. Well a minute after the baby came out we were told and showed it was a boy. We were shocked but now after 13 months I could not imagine a girl. I love my little guy. 
I do have to admit though today I was going through the box of girl clothes we kept and thought I might be getting ready for baby number 2.

I'm dealing with horrible gender disappointment. My husband and I ruined our gender reveal with my 2 year old when we found out he was a boy. We desperately wanted a girl. He's amazing and I wouldn't trade him now. I'm 18 weeks pregnant with my 2nd and we found out about a month ago we're having another boy. I honestly think I'm depressed. I don't want to have a shower, I haven't named him, no desire to do his nursery, I've taken NO belly pictures...it's awful. I'm so sad 😭😭😭

I had gender disappointment with my first son but worse with my second son. When I fell pregnant unexpectedly 5 months ago I wouldn't allow myself to even consider baby being a girl to try and avoid gender disappointment this time I even had the thoughts because baby wasn't planned that if it was another boy I didn't want to keep it. I had a psychic say I was having a boy and I still couldn't go through with a termination I came to terms with the fact my baby would be another boy and then our genetic testing results came back that our baby is actually a girl.

I wasn't hoping for one over the other, but I was (and still am) worried about the extreme favoritism towards girls on my SO's side of the family. I'm having a girl but I'm still concerned for if I one day have a boy.

I cried for an entire day and was sad about it for a month. My husband had brainwashed me into wanting a boy so bad that I convinced myself and felt he wasn't even excited about the baby anyone. Also, I never liked girls and girl things growing up. 
We went to register and it made it a bit better, picked her name at 27 weeks and started to get really excited. Now, I wouldn't trade her and don't even care if my next is a girl.
