Birth story

On Saturday August 5, 2017 I was 40 weeks & three days, I had went to the doctors on Wednesday for my 40 week appointment & to schedule my induction. At the appointment I was 1 cm & 60% effaced, which I've been since 37 weeks. Anyways, Saturday comes & I get woken up out of my sleep at 7:11 am with a very intense contraction, I didn't think much of it since I was 40+ weeks & when I sleep in a bad position I usually wake up hurting. I went to the bathroom like I usually do every morning & I sat on the toilet until it passed, once it passed I thought that was it. NOPE! I was so wrong, less then 5 mins later the pain came right back so I thought I would get something to drink & it might go away. Again I was so wrong lol my boyfriend was in the bed sleeping mean while I was walking around my house not knowing what to do with myself lol I'm a FTM & I'm pretty sure I was in denial for the first 30 minutes😂 once an hour goes by I try to climb back in bed since I fell asleep so late the night before I was sooo tired, I only got about 5 hours of sleep. When I lay down I realized I made a huge mistake & I yell which immediately wakes my boyfriend up lol poor guy he had no idea what he was waking up too lol. He wakes up & asks me what's wrong & if I was okay & immediately respond with "DOES IT SOUND LIKE IM OK!?" I promise I apologized as soon as the contraction stops lol, it was an uncontrollable response lol. So I tell him how long it's been happening & that we have to go to the hospital. He immediately jumps up, brushes his teeth & gets dressed now we're on our way. On our way I call my mom cause I needed my mom duh lol. Once we get to the hospital I waddle in pain through the main entrance & my boyfriend runs to get me a wheelchair, we go up to l&d; where they hook me up to the machines to monitor me, I'm sweating everywhere so I take everything off cause at that point I honestly gave no fucks!! Excuse my language lol. My midwife comes in & checks my cervix & I'm dilated to a 3 & 90% effaced so she decides to admit me. They switch me to the delivery room, I go in & immediately take the hospital rob off because I couldn't stand having anything on me!! My mom finally gets there with my little sister who is 12, she wanted to be in the delivery room & I agreed because what's a better form of teaching a soon to be teenager about the bees & the birds right?😂 anyways once my mom gets there I get into the jacuzzi which I was in for an hour, I get out & my midwife checks my cervix & I'm dilated to 5 cm. So I decided to get IV meds to ease the pain a lil so I can relax, I mean it didn't do much but it helped me relax enough to get me to 10 cm in just a few hours. I went from a jacuzzi to sitting on the toilet to bouncing on the yoga ball to leaning over the yoga ball lol I moved around a lot. So 6 hours in & I'm finally 10 cm but with my luck my cervix was still closed, like ARE YOU SERIOUS. After changing to multiple positions & being put on pitocin to help move the cervix out of the way none of it worked. So my midwife decided to have me lay on my side & push while she moved my cervix out of the way with her fingers & then switch sides to do the same with the other side of my cervix after 15 pushes my cervix was finally out of the way & the baby was finally able to move passed my cervix. She had me lay on my back & push a few more times & at 5:40 pm Zaylene Amiyah Perez made her grand entrance on August 5th 2017 weighing 8.9lbs 20 inchs long😩🙌🏽
