Thoughts on pasteurization?

What are your thoughts on pasteurization of milk, juice, etc?? I just thought of this and I'm really curious to see what you guys say!

I enjoy drinking milk without worrying about getting horribly sick. What is it with people these days wanting to undo all of the progress we made in the 19th and 20th centuries?

From what little I know on this subject, pasteurization was designed to kill of harmful pathogens and microbes in raw products, most commonly dairy, so that it would have a longer shelf life and could be transported longer distances at safe temperatures for later consumption. However, this process also kills a lot of the microflora, proteins, and enzymes essential for our digestive process and overall health. Food industrialization has its pros and cons. I would prefer to have my own dairy cow and make my own cheese and cream and such, but that's a dream far on the horizon.

Give me 2 weeks, then I'm  having a large  glass of freshly  squeezed OJ 😑 until then I'd  have to go with pasteurized  juices.... Milk is gross

Would you like Listeria? Do some research on the process and why it has significantly reduced many common food borne illnesses.

Um? It's one of the best inventions of all time....what other view point could one possibly have?

I'm for it, because it makes the milk cleaner and safer to drink.
My house is very dairy heavy and I drink tonnes of milk.
I've had it fresh from the cow though I prefer it pasturized.
