Hook affect

The hook affect is real!! Learned something new today. I took a test this morning and I'm 7 weeks 1 day. I take them for reassurance as I've had 2 miscarriages and they make me feel better. I almost had a heart attack though when the test line came up way lighter than they did before. Apparently around 7 weeks when your hcg is really high it causes the tests to become confused and can't read that level of hcg. If the urine is diluted more then the line will become darker. I didn't have any more tests to try this though.

I then had an ultrasound later today and I saw my baby with a heart rate of 142!!!

Just thought I should post this in case anyone else experienced this.
