Only allowed 1 child?

This is all hypothetical. Would you find it acceptable for the world to put a law of sorts in place that every couple is only allowed 1 child? Ones that pass away or miscarriages and stuff do not count. If it meant saving the environment, animals, making the foster care system and such smaller would you be on board? People that accidently have more than may have to put up for adoption or terminate as sad as that is. The world would also come together and make birth control, condoms, and fixing free or cheap as well as adoptions. People that also get their children taken away and are unable to clean up the act in order to get the child back would also have to put up for adoption and even families that already have 1 would be allowed to adopt those children. The people that are allowed more than 1 though would go through screenings and stuff. Once again, all hypothetical! Just found it to be an interesting thought and wanted to see what people think. Please don't be rude, it will never happen it is just to see . Would you be alright with this?
