Raw food diet for dog is it dangerous?

Hello all, so my dog is now in a raw food diet; I've had someone telling me
How dangerous it is for me being pregnant to be feeding my dog raw food. However it's great for her and she's much better on it! After handling any raw meat we have been disinfecting the area and I've worn gloves and washed my hands after. Do you
Think I should be worried? Because it's
Freaked me out but we all handle raw food anyway and don't seem to catch anything?

I have the feeling people are getting more and more insane about the things you can/cant do while pregnant..... 🤦🏻‍♀️ soon we will have to stay in bed for 9 months eating organic chia and drinking Evian.

Have you given up cooking meat while pregnant? As long as you are handling the meat properly, washing your hands and surfaces, and cleaning the bowls, I think you are ok.

Not while your pregnant but you may want to do some pre-planning as far as baby... does the dog ever take the food out of the dish? Are you picking up the bowls after the dog eats and washing them? I'd be more concerned about a crawling baby and then toddler getting into the dog dish (my girl loves to get into my pups) and getting some kind of food poisoning.

Just know that dogs fed a raw food diet can shed salmonella in their feces. This does put you and your future child at risk for being exposed to salmonella. Your pet could step on its feces in the yard and bring it into the house, or lick its rear (and then you) putting the family at risk for exposure.

maybe they're more concerned that th dog would leave traces like through saliva? that would freak me out lol I'm a huge germaphobe though
