Would you bring your baby to a home with wild animals?

I'm due at the end of October, my SIL is 2 weeks after me. Their house is disgusting (as in lack of cleanliness) and they keep wild raccoons loose in the home, not outside. Am I wrong for not wanting to bring my baby over there because of the raccoons? They don't take their 2 dogs or 2 cats to the vet so I know they haven't taken the raccoons to make sure they don't have any diseases. We have yet to tell her we don't want to bring her over there.

I am a vet tech. You are 100% not in the wrong. Racoons carry diseases from rabies to toxoplasmosis, and while are cool animals, should not be exposing a baby to that, especially so soon.

Um please call cps on them once they take that poor child home. That's dangerous. Raccoons are not pets. And in some states illegal. The most they will do in something like that is they will monitor house conditions and that will force them to clean their house.

Nope nope nope nope. First of all that's insane. Raccoons are filthy. They carry a lot of disease. Do not step foot in that house. Be polite but firm. "Sorry but due to the type of pets y'all keep all visits will have to be at our home because I simply don't trust feral animals around my baby." Do not let guilt or anything stop you from protecting that child. Frankly I'd call CPS about it. Her newborn is at serious risk for disease or injury. Absolutely insane.

No no no. I love animals, I worked with animals, but wild raccoons that haven't had proper medical attention? I wouldn't even go to someone's house like that without a baby. That's a disaster waiting to happen.

Nope nope fucking nope. I've known plenty of people who rescued wild raccoons and they're not good to keep in homes, they'll literally chew it from the ceiling down 😂 They're disgusting and rude animals when kept in houses (they're not exactly house pets), and if I'm not mistaken I recently saw pics of a little girl who had her face mauled by one. Keep your baby far far away from their home, it's not worth the risk.
