C-section??

Question

How bad are c-sections ? 
Going under the knife ?
& RECOVERY?????

I had my c section a week ago!! I was freaking out..I hate being numbed and not having control of my own body so the worst part was right when I realized I couldn't move my legs(doesn't seem that bad now that I think about it) recovery has been good so far..I was up and moving around the day after. I am still alittle sore when I move certain ways but not bad at all..the scar is so low (below my underwear line) and is still kind of tender to touch but honestly it has not been bad at all. The worst part of the whole experience were the headaches I got two days after..I literally had the worst headaches I've ever had in my life..thankfully they are gone now and I feel somewhat normal. Goodluck and everything will be fine!!

I had a planned c section due to breech baby. It was fine. Recovery wasn't too bad. The worst part was the numbness at the scar that lasted for 18 months and the pain pills you have to take (major constipation). You'll need help for at least a week because it's hard to do things.

Bumping, I'm nervous now that I am more than likely going to be induced if I don't go naturally by next Thursday because I know the chances go up.

I had an emergency c-section my first baby. I don't remember recovery being horrible. When you cough or sneeze or laugh, definitely hold a pillow over your stomach or pull your knees to your chest (as best you can), that helps. I also gave my son up for adoption at birth, so I didn't have To get up 15 times a night with a newborn.
