Should I go sooner?

I'll be 5 weeks tomorrow and I've scheduled my 1st appointment for 5/11 when I'll be 10 weeks. Is that too far away? Should I get checked out sooner?

My doctor won't see me/hear the the heartbeat until 10 weeks. They said
