my mother in law can be overwhelming sometimes.. she made a few comments about taking 2 weeks vacation time when I deliver.

I don't want constant visitors especially because it's our first and I know I'll want the bonding time in addition to recovering and learning how to be a mom. I already don't want someone hanging over my head ..

how can I politely tell her and other friends/family that they can have short and sweet visits but not everyday and definitely not during the few first days when we're alone together with our first child?
