IUI before IVF

Hi ladies. I am brand new to this assisted fertility thing and was wondering your opinion on trying a few cycles of IUI prior to IVF. We are limited on funds and it would be great to have some success with a few rounds of IUI, but if not we just spent all of that money that we could have used for IVF. I just turned 39 so timing is an issue. Plus, I am impatient due to the fact that we conceived naturally back in September, but M/C in November. I can't help thinking that I should be 7 months pregnant right now😓
