I don't know if it's that 7 is the magic number. I just think 7 years is enough time for most couples to have gone through major life changes and stresses by then. If they are just together for physical reasons, that's enough time for it to die out.

I believe in a 3 year one 😂 that's been roughly where myself and friends have been when we've split. My husband and I went through a bad patch at 6 years 🤷🏼‍♀️ it may be something, it may not.

No, not necessarily, but I will say that the 7th year together and 1st year married was one of the hardest ones for us. We were not happy and didn't enjoy each other like we used to. We also were experiencing a number of changes that were challenging to cope with... but we made it through. 10 years together now and almost 4 years married.

Don't believe it. At all. I've been with my spouse for 7 years, six months, and we're actually more in love than ever. 😍 In fact our seven year anniversary is right about when we started talking about ttc. 
I had a friend who fed into the whole idea of the seven year itch (he's one of my spouses best friends and a long time friend of mine), he started dating his girlfriend a month after we started dating. He fed into the idea, because that is what single men and the media told him to do. So he fucked up his relationship so he could break things off. It took him about two weeks to realize it was stupid and that he had made a mistake, and now he's suffering through missing her and trying to replace something that he now realizes he never can, because she won't take him back. He realizes he has to move on, but so far he hates it. 😑
