New driver.
Hi there, i can't exactly find a great place to put this but I think this is the most appropriate.
I recently finished my drivers ed class. Now all that's left is to complete 2 more drives, an observation hour (where you sit in the back and watch someone else) before I can take my drivers test and written test.
Here's the problem, today is August 15th and the deadline to do all this is September 18th.
The last drive I went on with my instructor went horribly. For many reasons, many, or most were not even my fault. I live in a very big city, It was rush hour, in an area I did not recognize at all, she would not stop hitting the break (for seriously really no reason) etc. it went really bad and discouraged me to the max. This drive was the very beginning of august. I was so scarred I stopped driving completely for almost 3 weeks.
My next drive is the freeway drive, I am horrified. I have recently started up again with my parents, and i am definitely a good conscious driver but I am so so so scared to drive with a drivers ed teacher. I hate their techniques and the unhelpful things they make me do.. many of which do not at all benefit the way I drive, in fact, it makes me worse.
I need to get over this or else my mom would be wasting $600. I need to drive.
Has anybody else been afraid of driving? How did you get over it? I know it's silly, but that drive really did scar me and I get anxious everytime i try and drive. I'm hoping to schedule this freeway drive next week, but thinking about it makes me panic.
