Arab!

I'm East-African, and I get mistaken so often for being an Arab. It's annoying! Somalis are a mix of Asian countries and Bantu and the diversity is huge. I always how to explain how I'm black. My parents are black, but my mother is extremely light-skinned and my father used to be light-skinned but he's dark-skinned with caucasian features. He has blue eyes, and it passed down to me smh. They consider themselves black tho. My fiancé is Turkish. I mean he looks Arab. Now, all my Somali friends are like "looks like u sticked to your race in the end". It's so annoying. I feel like no one is accepting him, expect my family. It have been bugging me how some have called me "self-hating bitch". I love him, for being him not because he's Turkish.
