Starting to move but forgetting to tell mama

Xamira • Love never decreases from being shared
Hi everyone! I have a five month old baby boy that's been pottie trained since birth but now that he's starting to discover the world and moving around the surface... he's forgetting to signal before peeing! I'm glad though that is just pee right now but it's been hard this couple of days to keep the carpet dry!
Any advices to follow on this stage?

I would try offering the potty at regular intervals while you're looking for how his cues might be changing now that he's mobile. Anyone else deal with changing cues? What cues can we be looking for from a baby that is starting to crawl?

Wow, that is amazing! I've done EC diligently since birth with my daughter and she has NEVER signalled to me (except when she was newborn she would pop on and off the breast when nursing if she needed to poop) ...she is 12 months old now and I am really hoping she communicates soon!! I basically just do natural timing with her...it's the only way to do it if they are distracted or not indicating their need to go. I am sure that once through whatever big developmental leap is happening that pottying will return to normal...maybe just continue offering the potty but use a cloth diaper back up or a waterproof mat if you are having alot of misses.
