So I mentioned to my mom how I wanted to get a pair of solar glasses so I can watch the eclipse next week and she basically told me that it is bad for the baby and that I should stay indoors during the eclipse. I was very surprised to hear this cause I have never heard of it before. I googled it and saw that it's a cultural thing. I'm Hispanic and just thought it was silly but to respect my moms wishes I will stay indoors on Monday.

What do you guys think? Have you ever heard of this before?
