I wouldn't say you overreacted just because I'd probably do the same thing. When you're in an accident like that you just have a burst of adrenaline and you're mind kind of goes into a fight or flight mode, your mind happened to go for fight lmao

I live in a bad neighborhood so for me all I can think is you could be trying to fight a junkie or someone who just doesn't give a fuck. Some people don't stop and think 'If I hurt someone I will go to jail' all that person could be thinking is 'You wanna get in my face and try to fight me like a man? Im gonna knock your ass out!'
