My parents don't approve of my boyfriend. I'm 20, and my parents are threatening to have him expelled and pull me out of school if they find out I'm with him. Should I stay with him or respect my parents' wishes?

Your education is more important unfortunately. I disagree with them holding it over your head and treating you like a child though. Keep it on the DL until you graduate. If you're paying for school though I'd tell them to fuck off.

I know that period between childhood and adulthood can be awkward but it's only a few years!  I've been there!  So.....I'm going to have to agree with your parents on this one.  (Sorry 😶 a few years ago I would have been like screw em!) Your parents have your best interest at heart and are being very generous helping you pay for your education.  They want you to focus.  You don't have much longer in school and I really think you should focus on your studies and having a good time. No guy is worth the relationship with your parents and if he is worth a damn he will want to respect their wishes and wait until after you graduate to seriously pursue a relationship.  
The best way to handle this is like an adult. You will have to communicate with your BF and your parents. 
Tell him the position you are in. Tell him you want to take a step back and just be friends to respect your parents wishes.  Tell your parents how hard it was and that you will just be friends until after you graduate but you are respecting their wishes.  
Best case scenario, your parents will be impressed with your maturity and come around quickly to the idea of you and your BF while you are in school. Worst case your BF leaves you all together, which means he wasn't the one for you in the first place.

Well it all depends, why don't they like him? What ability do they have to get him expelled? You're 20 and should make your own choices but they have to have a good reason and if they're genuinely just whacko then I'd probably date in secrecy honestly 🤷🏻‍♀️ but again, I don't know your situation

Expel him from what lol. If he's in hs and younger than 18 then good luck to you. You'd be the one in trouble and not him. Also, you're old enough to make your own decisions and live your own life. Leave that toxic environment asap, they honestly can't do anything to you or him.

You should talk to your parents about why they don't approve. In past experience everyone my mum told me to stay away from I found out the hard way when I didn't listen. Also they may be worried that he will distract you from your education which is a fair point. Family is important even if I don't agree with them. Just have a talk and if anything if he loves you he should wait for you till your finished school. ❤️
