How do you all handle bills?

Question

Do you base it off of income or split the bills evenly with your SO despite of income?
We usually split everything evenly because he only made like $1.50 more than me on the hour.. however, our pay is now $8 apart (due to him getting a better job) PLUS I'm not working full time anymore to take care of our baby. He makes 3X what I make now. Should I still be expected to keep up with half of the bills AND my own expenses (beauty products, contacts, doctors visits, food etc). 
We're in the middle of moving and he's asking me to pay all of the deposits to get our utilities turned on plus paying off all the bills from the old house. My bank account isn't keeping up..

For THREE YEARS we split EVERYTHING 🙄 he made $45k a year at the time and I made $13 an hour PLUS I was paying my way through college. I was soooo annoyed that we had to split the smallest things like going out to dinner or an unexpected $30 bill for something. We argued a lot over it because I grew up poor and didn't expect much. He grew up with a very wealthy family and wanted extravagant things. I couldn't save anything because of all the fancy extra shit. 
I finally laid it down for him and told him I was moving out to a little shitty apartment so I could save money because I was struggling and so stressed. I'll be damned if I'm working 50+ hours a week, taking 6 classes at the university, plus being the sole cook, cleaner, and grocery buyer. FUCK THAT. 
We joined our bank accounts that night and finances haven't been an issue since 😂 
Now I make a teachers salary (not much) and he makes about 5X what I make. He is super sweet about not ever bringing up the pay difference and he encourages me to treat myself by buying makeup or getting my nails done. He tells me "you deserve it". Hell yeah I do. Lol

so when me and my husband got married i was dead set on having 1 account and having all the bills come out etc. and i viewed it as our money not his and mine. my husband does not and has no budgeting skills and him and i have been raised completely differently on what is the importance of getting paid. so long story short. we now are back to seperate accounts and all our sons cheques etc go into my account. i still make sure everything gets paid. however, when i went back to work back in April i am now the person amking more money. even tho up until my husband has been always 50/50 about everything which i dont believe is fair I've made some rules. the truck is in my name but never ever drive  it so he makes that payment or i told him im taking the truck back. also the insurances have to be paid. everything else i pay cause i make more money. hes responsible for his own phone bill. ive tried to make it realistic that we have about the same left in spending money vs what we are paying. however we are also moving to a new house that costs more so some things may need to be renegotiated. personally i believe things should be a unity and work as a team but sometimes it doesn't work and to save yourself you should have ground rules but in no means should you have no money for yourself. that actually can turn into a form of abuse. ive had my share of abusive relationships and controlling in settle ways can raise red flags. never be afraid to stand your ground and think for your rights and you have a baby to watch out for as well.

Me and my husband put everything in a shared account and transfer a small amount of money each paycheck to our own personal spending accounts. All bills are from our shared account and anything for ourselves (make up, clothes, video games) come out of our personal spending accounts.

My husband is a business owner and takes care of everything and had me become a housewife ending my self employment when we got together 
Anytime I ever have money of my own I never have to use for bills he always takes care of everything and it's never an issue
We just recently got a house together and are expecting our first child together and nothing has been an issue
Maybe it is his background I don't know but he always insists on taking care of everything and has never had an issue in doing so
Even if I we are out and I offer to buy something with my bank card he's like no I've got cash I'm paying
Always asks if I need money or majority of the time he puts money in my purse without me knowing as he never likes me to be without cash on hand

pool money and pay bills. I make like half of what my fiance makes and I'll be going on mat leave for a year, so I'll only get like 55% of my income for a year. however, we are a team and I'm taking care of our baby over that year.

we have separate accounts. my husband pays for the bills he made and i pay for the ones i made such as credit cards. all the other bills get paid depending on who has the money when the bill is due.

My husband makes more so he pays more.  We technically pay bills with our money but have separate accounts.  We went through Dave Ramsey's financial peace class and it really helped us with budgets and how to "split" it accordingly.
