Baby holding ear?

He will tug on it as well, sometimes just place his hand on his head and it falls down to his ear. Most times it seems he is just playing with it and learning about his body but I'm curious if this is any cause for concern? We've also been dealing with teething and a major major sleep regression. I.e. He just got done crying for two hours and it's midnight 🤦🏼‍♀️😴 so itshard to tell if there are any other symptoms leading to a possible ear infection. Tips? TIA. FTM here
