If you've been on depo and we're able to get b pregnant after finishing it, how long did it take?

I've been off depo since May 2014. My husband and I have been TTC since July. I did have a doctor tell me that it could take a year to 18 months to get pregant, but I'm still pretty surprised I haven't yet. I've had ultrasounds of my ovaries and such done and no issues with that. It took at least 5 months for my cycle to get back to normal and back in december I had a very painful cyst rupture and then once again my cycle was a little weird. Anyways, can anyone shine some light on this for me? Thank you.
