Advice

My boyfriend recently admitted to me that he cannot stand my Mom. He said when we move into our apartment in a month she isn't allowed in if he's there and when we have kids he doesn't want them around her. He also would prefer me to have nothing to do with her (of course it's my choice not his) because he sees the way she puts me down and how much she stresses me out. They're all reasonable because my Mom hasn't been the best out there and I keep giving her chances and she blows them, but she's my Mom and I love her. Has any of your SO's or yourself had this problem? Any advice?
