First Time Ink: Questions.

Hello all, so I'm going to be going in for my first tattoo on Monday. A corn snake wrapped around my ankle as a tribute to my late baby snake, Lestat. So here are my questions. 1. How bad do ankle/top of the foot tattoos generally hurt? (Yes. I know everyone is different but I want a general idea) 2. What do you wish you had known/done before you got inked the first time? Note: I have my lobes, left industrial, right double helix, and tongue pierced. So I'm no newbie to piercings but I've never gotten a tattoo before. Any helpful information is appreciated. Thanks!!💕
