I've been on birth control since I was 17 - originally put on it to get my acne under control. Over the years I've struggled with acne, but I switched from the pill to a Skyla IUD a year ago and my skin has been a disaster ever since. It's both dry and incredibly oily at once and I'm getting terrible cystic acne - especially on my chin and cheeks, but occasionally near my nose. I love the freedom of an IUD but I'm about at my wits end and ready to "pull the plug" (if you'll pardon the pun) and go back to birth control pills, to see if it will make my skin clear up. Has anyone else gone through anything similar and have any tips? Or a birth control method that helped improve their acne? Thanks!
