did I have a miscarriage?

I noticed my period came late this month, but I was having cramps. a little more painful than usual. I took 2 test and both were negative. yesterday I started my period or I think I did. I noticed today that I passed something that I think was a clot. I'm not sure. I'm still having bad cramps and all I've been wanting to do is lay in bed. It kind of hurts to move around too. Is it possible I had a miscarriage?
