When does the 1st trimester end?

So I've been reading different things. One I read that says 12 weeks is the start of the 2nd trimester. One I read that the start of 13 weeks starts the 2nd trimester. And I also read that 14 weeks or the end of 14 weeks is the 2nd trimester! Anyone know for sure? Thanks in advance!!!

Not soon enough for some. But there are three different methods of measuring pregnancy time, Development, Gestation, and conception. Each one measures time differently and different doctors go by which ever one they want. So you might get different answers because of that. Hopefully this helps.

The first trimester ends at 12 weeks and 6 days. The second trimester starts at 13 weeks. I am in pediatric nursing.

13 weeks. 2nd starts at 14. I think many doctors have a different timeline, it's no biggie

13 weeks. Second trimester started at 14. It seems every month lasts five weeks during pregnancy, or 4.5 weeks. So 13 weeks.
