If you are a twin, or parent of a twin, how sure are you that your kids didn't get mixed up along the way?

For example, when the kids are small babies, you suddenly started calling Fred, George, and started calling George, Fred. 
Or started calling Ella, Emma, and Emma, Ella?
Let's face it, odds are fairly high, you or your twin isn't who you think they are! 😁

I bought ankle bracelets for my twins butttt... thankfully one of my twins ee found the tiniest of a birth mark on her thigh! lol

This was my biggest fear, so I had bracelets made. However, now that they're hear I can tell they look completely different (fraternal), but other people get them confused.

I have twin boys, had bracelets with their names and dress them differently. Even with this we sometimes get them confused.

So this is my fear haha I bought the babies little bracelets off etsy and also have heard from other identical twin moms to put a sharpie dot on the bottom of the foot or paint a dot of nail polish on one of their toes. the hospital will put bands on them but I'm terrified of mixing them up when we get home so I'll probably do everything haha

I've read somewhere how some hospitals offer a tiny dot tatoo somewhere behind the ear or in other not conspicuous place on one of the babies to prevent mix up. There is a fun long thread of answers to how to distinguish twins on Quora - you might enjoy it :)
I've been friends with identical twin girls from (their) age 7 to 9, and always could tell them apart somehow. Not a fact their parents didn't mix them up in early infancy, but by 7 yo their characters were so well developed that it would have been weird to make a mistake after getting to know them.
