Keep getting negitive test results

Me n my partner have been trying for a baby for 28mths nw n not had any positive tests I've had afew pregnancys in my last relationship I caught on with them very quickly so all close my partner has 3 from 2 previous relationships which he says they caught on quickly but I wouldn't know so can only take his word !!
