back labor??

OK mommies what did back labor feel like to you?? TMI but I have alot back cramps for the past 3 days been getting worse each day. today I had back cramps like really bad period cramps that made me tense up been having sharp frequent pains down below and cramps in my abdomen. had sharp pains in my stomach when I peed earlier.. I'm 37wks 2days. I cm dialiated

I had back labor with my first. My Lord! I thought I was going to die!

Back labor is similar to what you're describing. For me, I had to bend over for each contraction (like kneeling with my upper body over a ball or couch). Even early on in labor I had to do this, whereas with my second labor I didn't get that kind of pain until I was about 6-7 cm. Is your baby facing up? This could be the reason you may be having back labor symptoms. My placenta with first was anterior(top of uterus) so it made it prone for baby to be face up. Good luck!
