partner does not want to announce pregnancy

Do I had a cute idea to take a photo with one of Disney's many characters while at Disney world, my SO just told me he doesn't want to announce this pregnancy. this is our 2nd, my 3rd. I asked him why and he said he wants to make sure everything is fine first?? then it turned into, " do we even need too? " I'm a bit hurt. I can't tell if he is nervous or just not happy as much as I am. he will be gone for the delivery for training in Air force. so I think he might feel disconnected. anyways I guess I'm keeping the pregnancy to myself until is just obvious.. :(
