Unicornuate Uterus
I've being TTC since June 2015. I found out in November 2015 that I was pregnant but two weeks later I found out it was ectopic. I was treated with methotrexate. I then found out I was pregnant in March 2016 and then miscarried in mid April 2016 at about 10 weeks. After that miscarriage, I had to have two D&Cs.; Since then I have not been able to conceive. My OB finally decided to start investigating the issue this past May. We started with blood work and the results came back with an elevated prolactin level. Other results showed the possibility of not even ovulating. I was finally sent to a fertility specialist. He put me on medicine to lower the prolactin levels and did his own round of blood work. He also scheduled me for a test where they inserted a camera into the uterine cavity. I was informed that my uterus was full of scar tissue and that he wanted to remove it. I just went in for this surgery only to wake up and find out that they didn't remove any scar tissue. Due to the heavy sedation, they were able to investigate further without me screaming in pain. The doctor informed me they can't find a left Fallopian tube and now believe I only have half of a uterus. I now have to have a MRI and then we will discuss options. I'm angry and at a loss for words. How with all of the poking and prodding that I've dealt with over the last 2.5 years is this just now coming up? Has anyone dealt with this?
