How much is too much?

Question

I go for my glucose test in two weeks and I'm wondering how many sweets is considered to much in a day? I'm 5'3 and right now at 27w 3D I weigh 135 lbs. I'm probably just being paranoid but I don't want to chance on not passing

Eating sugar isn't gonna change your results. It isn't you that's the problem. Your placenta and the way it processes is more the issue. Just eat as you normally do. If they told you to fast then do so the morning of the test, I was allowed to eat protein for breakfast (I had eggs). Don't stress it - you can't sway the results either way.

I passed mine first time around perfectly, but then again, I don't drink soda or juice, I don't eat candy or sweet junk food, for cereals, I choose healthier options like granola or cheerios IF we have cereal in the house... Realistically the only REAL form of sugar I have on an average daily basis is the creamer I add to my coffee, or the homemade cookies/muffins/etc that I bake sometimes ...I guess what I'm trying to say is: if you feel like your diet may affect the results, be honest with yourself on what you're eating, and just eat better! (Honestly though, I really don't know a lot about how the whole glucose thing works, but I do know that it certainly wouldn't be a bad thing to cut out as much sugary foods as possible, because sugar is never healthy and can LEAD to all sorts of health issues!)

Well a lot of women fail the one hour but pass the 3 hour so the one hour you can definitely control to an extent if you're not really diabetic. The day before and day of the test do your best to eliminate the sweets but if you really have GD nothing can change that

my score was 69 over i think 140 (don't remember the actual glucose number but whatever lol) my doc just told me not to eat sugary stuff literally like every day, like u can have some sugar but minimal of it, dont go eating the whole ice cream store lol you will be fine though! good luck :)
