Taking a break :(

So recently my boyfriend and I have been fighting a lot. He has been messaging girls he's had a thing with while back and that upsets me because he told me it's wrong to be friends or talk to guys that I've once had a thing with. But when I confront him on it he just calls me annoying and crazy. I trust him but it just irritates me. Now he says that I am pushing him away so he wants me to take a break but he isn't going to take one. So basically I will be single but he will be with me. I need opinions I love him and I know everything will probably change after this break. and he told me he doesn't honestly think we will come back from it. I'm just broken and I need opinions on what to say to him when I see him in person PLEASE HELP ME
