braxton hicks before baby

how were your braxton hicks before you had your baby? i went to the doctors the other day and they said i'm not effaced or dilated but that my cervix is soft and two times now i have had a lot of braxton hicks while walking and sometimes i get pain like on the outside of my vagina and then i get discharge from the braxton hicks. but it only happens when i'm walking.
