Should I switch to an IUD?

I've been on a combo progesterone/estrogen birth control pill for about 4 years. I started taking it as a way to treat my chronic migraines. I have no complaints with the pill except I occasionally forget to take it. My husband and I want to wait about 3 years before having kids and I don't want to accidentally get pregnant right now. I've been thinking about changing my birth control to an IUD but I don't know what kind to get. Also, I'm afraid of the side effects even if they are rare like miscarriage or loss of fertility (I don't want to get pregnant now, but if we have an accident we will definitely keep the baby and a miscarriage would be absolutely devastating). I just wanted thoughts from people who have an IUD or who were on the pill and switched to an IUD. Do you like it and what were some side effects?

The only side effects I've had from my birth control are good ones like less acne and more energy and a huge decrease in migraine days. I was having at least 5 days a month of migraines before and now I have a migraine once every 2 or 3 months. Any suggestions or recommendations would be great!
