Straight to IUI?

Hi Everyone,

We had an appointment today with a RE. She said we fall into the unknown infertility category and wants to go straight to IUI. We haven't even tried any infertility drugs like Clomid. I'm just curious if this is normal or if I should get a 2nd opinion? It seems like a big step considering we've only been trying a year and are less than 35 with a good egg supply and sperm count. I have no known conditions other than I usually start spotting around 9-10 dpo. RE seemed to just brush that off. I appreciate any opinions anyone might have!
