Am I the only one who didn't see the big deal for the eclipse?

People were calling out of work and traveling hours to see it.  I am like..I know what happens and I know what it looks like.  I just don't see the big deal.  The moon blocks out the sun for 2 minutes and then it gets bright again.  what's the big mind-blowing deal????

I thought it was pretty cool and my daughter enjoyed it. If it's not your thing, it's not your thing.

I didn't start getting excited about it until a couple months ago.  But it was easily one of the coolest things I will ever see in my lifetime!  The pictures don't do it justice.

I was in Carbondale for the eclipse, and it was absolutely beautiful. The photos you see on google don't even compare to seeing it with your own eyes.

Cool but I wouldn't go out to watch it, just look at the pictures on google lol. But overrated.
