Please help?

So I really want to breast feed with my second baby who will arrive in a couple of months but my experience with the first was awful my boobs became sooo sore and even bled to the point I had to stop al together
Any tips on what I could do please?

Find a lactation consultant now. That way when the going gets tough, you have someone to go to for help. They are a life saver, and will help you meet your goals. Everything you're describing is normal! It's tough, but once you get the hang of it all, it'll be great!

I would say yes try again every baby is different, consultants can help with breastfeeding. Pumping is a very good option. I did both pumping and breastfeeding as I was working. Making sure latching issues with baby like young tied or something can be good. Being relaxed and confident can also help your mind is a powerful tool. Nipple guards can help initially too. Coconut oil if u have to use is great. But breast milk itself is a heal all kinda thing letting it leak out and rubbing over nipples heals them very nicely. I think the most important is getting more than just the nipple in the babies mouth, ideally just about or all your bipolar and areola should be in babies mouth.

Two prolonged breastfeeding journeys without problems, one for 3 years and the other ( 19 months old) is going on while I m being pregnant . Both babies were full term and no latching problems however the second is a biter . I didn't use any creams or oils just took a deep breath whenever it was crazy painful for the first week . Anatomically we have the glands around the nipples that lubricate the nipple and the rest is just a matter of doing it . Don't give up . Bleeding does happen on one nipple so I would use pump on that and keep giving the other one( hopefully not bleeding one) you can always pump when it is unbearable . Even now into a well established routine of 19 months I hold myself from going crazy when she falls asleep and passes the nipple through her teeth . OUCH !!!!

Try using coconut oil on your nipples, it helped heal them a lot faster than other nipple creams I tried. Breastfeeding is really hard in the beginning but there's a light at the end of the tunnel and it does get a lot easier. Good luck :)

My first experience with breastfeeding was awful also.  I tried with my second and we really hit it off.  She figured out how to latch quickly and I was in a much better place in my life,  which helped me relax and produce enough milk for her.  Try it and don't feel bad asking for help at the hospital or wherever you give birth

I was the same with number 1. Managed 3 months with #2, 11 months with #3, then 3 months with #4 but had to stop as she wasn't getting enough. Turned out she had an undiagnosed lip tie.

Did you use nipple Sheilds? 
I have been told those really help.
Also burn patches help heal them overnight

Look to see if there are any breastfeeding classes in your area (a one time instructional class before baby is born), you could also meet with a lactation consultant after your baby is born to help with proper latch, and lastly you could join a la leche league or at least go a few times (a lot of la leche league moms are willing to help and make recommendations). I breastfed my first for a year and while I was tender in the beginning and the feeling was a bit strange it never hurt significantly. I did take a class prior to having my first and our instructor told us if you are in significant pain (more than tender or more than a little uncomfortable) something isn't right and you should seek help. The biggest thing is learning the correct latch. I never once had cracking or bleeding and almost never used any nipple ointments. The most painful thing I ever dealt with was biting, but that's a different topic! 😊

My sisters bled too but her luv told her to keep going that that was normal. Of course her amount of bleeding may not be the same as yours.
