Anyone in this group have hypothyroidism? I was just diagnosed and am curious how it effects pregnancy.

Yes! The fatigue is real. If they put you on synthroid, ask specifically for the brand name. It makes a difference in comparison to the generic. Something in how they are released/formulated, I think.  Synthroid is completely safe to take while pregnant, so no worries there. 😊

I am on Levo and this is my second pregnancy. First pregnancy went perfect but you may need to have blood draws more often to check levels. Take all meds as prescribed and all will be fine!

I have hoshimoto's. U might need regular blood tests to make sure you're levels are ok for you and baby. I'm 7w5d and going for my first round of repeat bloodwork soon. My Dr wanted it every 4 weeks.

I have it since I was 16. I am on levothyroxine 50 much and after conceiving I am having 75 mcg. I feel fine!!

same here! I started out with levothyroxine at 25 before my first pregnancy. Had my levels checked through out it and by the end I was taking 125. my Dr said it is so important to take the medicine through out the pregnancy. since my body is healthy, so will the baby's. After I had my daughter I'm now steady at 100. crazy how your body changes. But I feel sooooooooooooo much better than before taking levothyroxine. good luck! :)

I have had hypothyroidism for years unfortunately I got diagnosed when I was 16 and was in denial of it and didn't take my meds. Now I got diagnosed with hashimotos 2 years ago and take my medication faithfully I take levothyroxine and it helps me not be as tired during the day versus not taking it while pregnant I would be completely exhausted. I'm now 7 weeks and 2 days pregnant and have an appt with an endocrinologist on September 5 to make sure my levels are okay. Good luck! :)
