I can't get my husbands family to respect my wishes of not smoking near my baby and older daughter. My husband has even asked them and they yes him to death and then they act like they forget. I've been trying to do it nicely, but my patience is wearing thin. I know I'm going to lose it and then I'll be the "bad" guy. Maybe that's what they are waiting for? I won't bring Tammy kids down to their house because they chain smoke inside their home and I can't have them there. I'm sure they don't like that, but I tell them they can come here anytime, but now with them. It respecting my wishes to walk away from my son while you are smoking (outside) I'm at a loss of how to handle this anymore without losing my temper.

I even sent her a nice text after the most recent episode reminding her of the dangers of second hand smoke and asked her to respect our wishes. She claims she didn't get text, so I emailed it to her at work and I am not awaiting a response from her.

I also her to have a conversation three months ago, which I'm still waiting for her to make that effort.
