Depression?

Question

Long struggle with depression, craziness of military life doesn't help. I feel so sad despite my efforts to trust God. Any tips for moving on?

I have depression and anxiety and am also a military wife. I used to be in meds but got off all of them and and doing much better now. There are many times I feel down or anxious, but I've found that as long as I keep busy and try to think positive, things always seem easier. Try taking each day at a time and maybe enjoying the outdoors some. Sunshine can actually improve your mood! But if you ever need to talk or vent, I'm here and I'm a good listener! Best of luck :)

My husband has struggled with depression and he found this tip helpful: "do the opposite of what you feel" .. For example, if you feel like sleeping in til 2, get up and go for a walk or run.

Surround yourself with positive people and PRAY and study scripture! Maybe join a Bible study at church or ask if the church can refer you to a Christian counselor. Exercise and eating well helps him.

Pray and ask God to show you some bible verses to remind you that you are not alone. The Lord works all things for the Good of those who love him! It's tough to trust God especially when you're feeling down. Just remember feelings are only temporary but your reward in heaven is eternal :)

I have mild anxiety.  I have found physical excersise helps me the most.  A long walk makes me calm down and i usually work out whatever issues I have been building up.

Yes it sucks..but it works.

I suffer from Bipolar Disorder and i wouldn't be able to live if if didn't take my medication.
