Yeast infection

I had a yeast infection and I wasn't completely aware of it until I went to my doctor. The same week I got it my boyfriend got what looked to be herpes. He went to the doctor got the blood work down and within a couple of day his symptoms completely vanished and the blood work came back negative for a std. I just got another yeast infection and the same thing happened to him again... both of these times we were having sex during the period of my infection. So am I like contagious or something?
