my mom and I got them 2 weeks exactly before going into labor. I gave birth at 41 weeks to the day so I knew and she knew at 39 weeks my little girl was coming in 2 weeks. weirdly a lot of stuff is not exactly hereditary but runs common with the women in your family

I'm 39 weeks today and just last week I got my first stretch mark on my belly! My mom and grandma had them really bad so I was definitely surprised. I've used Burts Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter every single day (sometimes twice a day) since around 12 weeks. (I did get some stretch marks on my breasts before I started using it but no new ones since) Not sure if that's the only reason but I'd definitely recommend it! It's sure helped with the itching from stretching!

yes I got some with my third and my mom has them super bad and got them with her first. we have totally different bodies tho. I do believe stretch marks are genetics but I also believe genetics skips a generation. so I believe you'll get more genetics from your grandparents over your biological parents. and your kids will get most of their genetics from your parents over you.

My mom had twins (my sister and I) and didn't get any stretch marks! I didn't get any stretch marks when I was pregnant with my son so I'm hoping I don't get them with this pregnancy as well lol
