Help ... am I allergic ?

My industrial isn't healing very well and I'm not 100% how to help it out. I've done the salt water ring for the recommended time but it didn't help . Could I be allergic to the metal ?.

It's scarring because your body isn't reacting well to the piercing. I don't think it's anything to worry about as my friend has the same issue and it isn't painful for her in any way, but it was recommended to her to not get any more ear piercings.

Mine did that for an entire year. I stopped using anything to clean it and ONLY rinsing it under the warm water in the shower and it healed in two weeks!

Go back to the place where u got it pierced and ask them or go to the doctor

I'd take it out personally. It looks horrible, and I think it's more to do with placement than swelling..

Mine was like that too until pretty recently. I've had it for 3 years now and whenever my industrial gets irritated I put lavender oil on it. Just know that it stings when you first put it on but putting it on a couple times a day for a few days might help it calm down. 😊

It's a keloid. I had the same thing when I got my industrial and my belly button did the same thing unfortunately. I ended up just taking it out, switching to plastic won't change anything. I had my piercing done when I was 17 and I'm 21 I still have the keloids.

I got an industrial as well and I've found that when it gets irritated cleaning it with warm water lemon juice and a crushed up aspirin helps tremendously

So all of my previous piercings did this and never healed. I had a forward helix, the 2nd lobe piercings, and my nose all form a keloid and take months and months and never heal. I kept my nose piercing by changing my jewelry to gold. I just got my helix done with gold jewelry and it healed in like a week! My piercer also told me this time to just wash it when it's dirty (if I touch it, right when I wake up etc) and leave it alone otherwise. I clean it with dr.bronners baby soap and it's worked really well. I'll be doing this technique from now on!

I got a triple forward helix (same-ish area) and it did that for a while until it healed. I've since heard that rinsing off the saline after cleaning can really help, along with heating up the saline. I would try that for a while and if it doesn't help, go back to your piercer.
