Can I have sex on progesterone?

I'm on progesterone pills that I insert vaginally and I just went to my first ultrasound today and everything was fine. Measuring 6 weeks 1 day and heart rate was 103 which he said was fine for this stage in the pregnancy. I had a missed miscarriage back in May of 2017. I asked the doctor if I could have sex and he said that it was fine as long as I don't have deep penetration. I'm looking for advice from ladies in a similar situation or who have already been down this road....what would you do?
