Do looks matter? Not from like "I'd love my s/o even if he was ugly" ik you would but that's not what I'm trying to ask rn. When you first meet someone, does it matter if they are hella ugly or hella hot?? Be honest!

I mean I someone who is ugly to me could be beautiful to you so I think it's all a matter of opinion. But of course looks matter, I would never be with someone I wasn't attracted to!

Appearance is subjective. Maybe to me the person is average-looking while other person can think that's the most good looking man/woman on Earth. 
It also depends in which context you meet that person. If you meet someone through Tinder of course looks are what make you swipe right or left in the first place. If I have a match with someone attractive (because that's why I swiped right, because I found him/her good looking) but their personality is not good at all, that's an instantaneous unmatch to me. 
If you meet someone at work/school/etc you can actually get to know them and maybe the relationship starts as friends but then it becomes stronger and stronger. That's when I look at the personality first. Because I wasn't looking for a relationship but it kinda just happened. 
I've been with people who I didn't consider good looking but they had a big heart and that's what made them pretty to me. A good personality can change how you see that person on the outside too. 
But I also met steaming hot guys who turned out to be jerks. So guess what? Bye bye.

Kind of. I used to think this one guy was ugly as sin. He was a year older than me and hung with a different crowd, so I didn't really know him that well we were just cool with each other. I could never figure out how he pulled all these fine ass girls. 
Then we started hanging out over the summer. He's so funny and chill. I think he's really attractive now–not necessarily good looking, but I'm attracted to him. I see it. For sure lol. 
So looks matter to an extent-I want to be attracted to the person I'm with. But personality can override all that.

I definitely wasn't into my bf when I first met him 😂 that's sounds awful!! I thought he was good looking, but I wasn't thinking about that. We were just friends and then I just happened to fall in love with him because of the person he is. I definitely think personality trumps looks! Like I know there are girls who are way more beautiful than me, but like I think I'm pretty cute too! As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.. Its important to be attracted to the person you're with, but it shouldn't be the main reason you're interested..

I think there has to be some level of attraction to have a relationship work with someone. Like if you're repulsed by someone, how can you honestly say you're gunna commit to them forever?
Im not saying they have to be conventionally attractive, or attractive to others. But they have to be attractive to YOU, in some way.

Like, they gotta either look good enough to catch my eye or they gotta show me they are interested and like, not perverted. And I'm not talking just good. Either good or, my fiancé, when I first saw him, he looked mysterious and interesting. He had his hair covering his face (even though I could still see him looking at me, he thought he was being slick) I'm the only one who has ever not been intimidated by or scared of him. Not even when I first seen him. So, It all kinda depends on how they act or if they look interesting. They don't need to be like, flawless or anything, my man ain't and wasn't flawless, but to me, he is and always was. It just depends
